This forum is primarily for our Online League for the MLB The Show series for the Playstation platform.
The league/online franchise is called Show Casual 14.
We are a community of age 30 and over sports gamers. We are working people with families who enjoy playing video games for recreation.
We also enjoy online competition, and wish to provide a mature, professional atmosphere for these purposes.
Please note the following regarding our online league:
Our first league will be for the PS3 platform. When the game transitions to PS4, the league will then also transition to the PS4 platform.
Settings
-Hitting and Pitching (All-Star).
-Guess Pitch (Off).
-Users determine whether they wish to use, classic, analog, zone, etc. for respective hitting and pitching.
-Fast Play.
Rules
-If you decide to join, please register in the forum with your psn gamertag, age, email, and nights and times you are available to play. Please post this information in the "sign ups" sub-board.
-Commissioners are psn dhood8083 and psn oakview80.
-Once a commissioner sends you a league invite, please accept the invite in a PROMPT fashion.
- Our league has a 2 game per week COMMITMENT. We do realize that LIFE HAPPENS, and it does for us, so we at times commit adhere to this commitment. Please use the forum and psn to communicate. We are in the process of creating a Facebook group for communication as well. We are willing and able to work with solid, responsible people to work toward completing games. We do NOT care about skill level. We are looking for responsible, nature people.
- The schedule will be set to OPEN. You will be able to play any opponent at any time.
- The league will have human and CPU teams. This will enable owners to play the CPU if a human owner is not available if and when you are able to play online.
- Free agents are not automatically selected. We have a free agent selection process based upon team OVR. Please consult the forum shortly after the season begins for additional information.
- If an owner cannot keep up with weekly game requirements AND is not able to communicate with commissioners and fellow owners, this owner will be replaced.
-No expletives or foul language.
-Rule violators will be warned twice and then booted.
Rules are subject to modification based upon owner input.
Gameplay rules-MUST BE ADHERED TO:
All VISUALS MUST BE ON DURING ONLINE GAMEPLAY
EXPLOITS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. EXPLOITS ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:
-EARLY STEALING
-THROWING RUNNERS OUT AT FIRST FROM THE OUTFIELD
-BUNTING WITH A RUNNER IN SCORING POSITION WITH A 3/4/5 HITTER
GAMERS PERFORMING THE ABOVE MENTIONED EXPLOITS WILL BE WARNED FOR THEIR INITIAL OFFENSE AND THEN DROPPED FROM THE LEAGUE AFTER A SECOND OFFENSE.
THE OFFENDER’S GAME WILL BE RESET AND RESOLVED IN THE FAVOR OF THEIR OPPONENT.
PLEASE USE A HARD WIRED CONNECTION WHEN PLAYING ONLINE!
